Alvin & the Chipmunks, Episode 137, Season 8, “Vinnie’s Visit”.
Vinnie is chipmunks biological mother. She sings a lullaby to them the night before she leaves them with Dave Seville. The song is called “Vinnie’s Lullaby”. Produced by Ross
Bagdasarian (Dave Seville). Sung my June Foray; Machiko Soga for Japanese version. There is a CD out there Alvin & Chipmunks (1983) that has this song listed. I can’t find the CD. Need words to the lullaby for my new granddaughter. I used to sing it to my daughter back in ’83 but have forgotten some of the words. Goes something like this: “Go to sleep little one, dream sweet dreams little one, the stars say good night, I hold you tight, when you awake, I will be here…. Thanks in advance to anyone who takes the time to help me. I have exhausted all of my known resources. Maybe if you could give me some ideas of where to look. Been to GOOGLE with words from the song, Wikipedia had the most info, but not lyrics.

Answer by Gwendolen Y
you can find that on cd?? I would check records..those books with the tape or record on them might help

Reposting this until I run out of points!

There is a tune I would like to know the name of. This was found in my search for lyrics to a Japanese lullaby sung by an anime character.
This has already gotten about 9000 views without success.

This has poor audio quality. Sorry for that.
This is the tune of the lullaby that was sung by this character here:

10 points and a star for anyone who has the name of this apparently completely unknown tune.

I’m writing a story and in it the character sings a lullaby. She’s Japanese so I want it to be a Japanese lullaby, but I want to write the lyrics in English so it’s understandable to the readers. I’ve looked for some translations online but most of the ones I find either aren’t any good (for her to sing I mean) or they don’t have English translations. So if anyone can give me some translations (it can be any Japanese lullaby as long as ya think it’s cute/sweet/nice) it’d be very much appreciated.

Best answer:

Answer by Lia
Edo no komoruita = Tokyo’s/Edo’s Lullaby (Tokyo used to be called Edo):

Go to sleep, go to sleep,
My good boy, sleep

Where did your carer go?
Beyond that mountain, back to their home.

What did you get as a souvenir from her home?

A taiko drum and a reed flute.
